View the participant guide ↗Driven by the energy transition, growing renewable energy integration, rapid development of distributed energy resources and the need for greater grid resilience, microgrids are evolving from single-site demonstrations into multi-microgrid systems, campus microgrids, feeder-based microgrids and disaster-resilient applications.
This workshop brings together experts from industry, government, academia and research to exchange knowledge on microgrid planning and operation, energy management, field demonstrations, distribution system integration, disaster resilience and economic performance. Participants will share research and implementation results to advance technical integration and collaboration across projects, sites and organizations.
PROGRAM BACKGROUND
Taipower Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnership Program
Jointly funded by Taiwan Power Company and the National Science and Technology Council, the program held its kickoff meeting on 20 November 2025. Led by Prof. Chan-Nan Lu of National Sun Yat-sen University, it brings together seven research groups and 23 subprojects to address practical needs in power system operation, maintenance and planning.
This workshop is supported in its organization by the program’s Microgrid Planning and Operation research group. It connects research findings with field experience in campus, feeder-level, disaster-resilient and critical-facility microgrids.
