On 22 September 2025, 30 principals from primary and secondary schools in New Taipei City visited MCUT’s microgrid demonstration site. The city’s economic development and education departments supported the exchange, connecting campus energy infrastructure with discussions about sustainability education.

From equipment to an understanding of energy systems

The programme included an introduction to the campus microgrid architecture, energy management and monitoring, followed by PV, storage and EV charging facilities. The visit provided concrete settings for discussing how energy technologies relate to campus use.

From the bridge to the laboratory

The afternoon programme included laboratory-scale microgrid facilities, operation and energy monitoring, and an introduction to the EV charging payment system. The Electrical Engineering building and the smart-grid laboratory provided further settings for exchange.

Practical examples for energy education

The programme assigned microgrid presentations, site explanations and energy-education discussions to Ching-Chuan Luo. Topics included school energy education, small-scale demonstrations and possible future collaboration. Subsequent curriculum or deployment outcomes will be documented separately when supported by records.

What the exchange contributed

  • Real equipment and monitoring interfaces as discussion materials for energy education.
  • Learning contexts at both bridge-demonstration and laboratory scales.
  • A documented school visit and public coverage of campus energy education.

The visit took place on 22 September 2025; the university report was published on 1 October. Programme details follow the original agenda and university record. Discussions are not presented as completed inter-school projects.
