RESEARCH & PRACTICE

Research grounded in field experience.

Deployed functions, reported operating experience and topics for further investigation.

01DEPLOYED

Energy management and observation

We integrate equipment information from the three resources through a shared EMS for monitoring and manual operation. The operating conditions provide a basis for further control-strategy research and validation.

02DEPLOYED

Load and PV generation forecasting

We have deployed load and PV generation forecasting at the site. Collaborative studies can define forecasting horizons, baselines and evaluation periods to examine model performance and operating conditions.

03OPERATING EXPERIENCE

Islanded operation of the bridge microgrid

We operated the bridge microgrid without grid parallel connection for approximately six months, supplying DC and AC chargers. Battery depletion caused one supply interruption; operation resumed after reconnection. This experience informs our study of storage capacity, charging demand and energy management.

04IMPLEMENTED

Charging services and payment management

Our laboratory developed EV operation and payment management using existing LINE Pay accounts, connecting energy management with the charging service experience.

FIELD MEDIA / 2026

See the site. Understand the energy information.

We use monitoring, forecasting and 3D visualization to present the site’s energy information. These images from our exchange presentations document past demonstrations, not live readings.
